The Book of Obadiah
Twenty-one verses — the shortest book in the Old Testament. One oracle against Edom, the nation descended from Esau, who stood at a distance and watched Jerusalem burn. Obadiah says the quiet part out loud: gloating over a brother's ruin is real guilt, high cliffs are no security, and in the end the kingdom shall be the LORD's.
