The Book of Haggai
2 chapters. In 520 BC, the returned exiles had settled into their own paneled houses while the house of the LORD lay in ruins. Haggai's message is short and pointed: “Consider your ways.” Yet it is also full of grace — God stirs the people to build, promises “I am with you,” and declares that “the latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former,” and “in this place I will give peace.”
